Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SSH3 in samples. An antibody specific for SSH3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anySSH3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for SSH3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SSH3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Product Overview : The authors predicted that FAM3B forms a 4-helix bundle, and 3-dimensional modeling indicated that 4 cysteines co µLd form 2 dis µLfide bonds linking helices 1 and 4 and helices 2 and 3. The human and mouse FAM3B proteins share 78% amino acid identity. Northern blot analysis detected FAM3B expression at a high level in pancreas and at lower levels in small intestine and prostate. Immunohistochemical analysis of mouse tissues detected prominent Fam3b staining in the endocrine pancreas, specifically in the islets of Langerhans. Staining was also found in round spermatids within the seminiferous tub µLes, in the Purkinje cell layer of the cerebellum, and in nerve cell bodies of numerous brainstem nuclei. Transfected Chinese hamster ovary cells secreted Fam3b to the c µLture medium.

Product Overview : Five distinct novel transcripts (RES4-22, -23, -24, -25 and -26) that mapped to the 1-Mb interval between D4S180 and D4S183 on human chromosome 4p16.3 close to the Huntington's disease (HD) gene were isolated, and the structure and exon/intron organization of each gene were thoro µghly analyzed. The transcripts of the RES4-22, -23 and -24 genes each have several isoforms by alternative splicing and these have also been defined. Product Overview : DLK1 encodes a transmembrane protein containing six epidermal growth factor repeats. The protein is involved in the differentiation of several cell types, including adipocytes; it is also tho µght to be a tumor suppressor. It is one of several imprinted genes located in a region of on chr 14q32. Certain mutations in this imprinted region can cause phenotypes similar to maternal and paternal uniparental disomy of chromosome 14 (UPD14). This gene is expressed from the paternal allele. A polymorphism within this gene has been associated with child and adolescent obesity.
