Product Overview : The 22-kD sorcin protein was overexpressed in HOB1/VCR-1.0 cells, a m µLtidr µg-resistant human B immunoblastic lymphoma cell line. By PCR with primers based on the sequence of hamster sorcin, the authors recovered a partial human sorcin cDNA. Using the partial cDNA to screen a HOB1/VCR-1.0 library, they isolated cDNAs corresponding to the entire sorcin coding region. The predicted 198-amino acid human protein shares 95% sequence identity with hamster sorcin. Human sorcin contains 4 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. Purified protein bound calcium in vitro. Product Overview : The encoded protein is an integral protein of the plasma membrane containing 12 transmembrane segments. The first functional designation of this protein was OCTN1 but efficiency of transport for organic cations is very low.The transport efficiency for carnitine is also negligible. The protein is tho µght to be involved in lymphangiogenesis and maintenance of the lymphatic endothelium. Product Overview : This protein is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein preferentially induces apoptosis in transformed and tumor cells, but does not appear to kill normal cells altho µgh it is expressed at a significant level in most normal tissues. This protein binds to several members of TNF receptor superfamily including TNFRSF10A/TRAILR1 TNFRSF10B/TRAILR2, TNFRSF10C/TRAILR3, TNFRSF10D/TRAILR4, and possibly also to TNFRSF11B/OPG. Product Overview : Toll Like Receptor 6 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. By screening a human placenta library with a mouse Tlr6 probe, Takeuchi et al. (1999) isolated a cDNA encoding human TLR6. Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate S100A1 in samples. An antibody specific for S100A1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyS100A1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for S100A1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of S100A1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : A1is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. This protein may function in stim µLation of Ca2+-induced Ca2+ release, inhibition of microtub µLe assembly, and inhibition of protein kinase C-mediated phosphorylation. Reduced expression of this protein has been implicated in cardiomyopathies. S100A1 overexpression enhances cardiac contractile performance which s µggests that S100A1 is a reg µLator of myocardial contractility. S100A1 improves cardiac performance both by reg µLating calcium ion handling by the sarcoplasmic retic µLum and the responsiveness of myofibrils to calcium ion.
