Background : Possesses both acyltransferase and acetyltransferase activities. Activity is calcium-dependent. Involved in platelet-activating factor (PAF) biosynthesis by catalyzing the conversion of the PAF precursor, 1-O-alkyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (lyso-PAF) into 1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (PAF). Background : Suppressor of microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis, including that of let-7 and possibly of miR107, miR-143 and miR-200c. Background : Serine/threonine-protein kinase that plays an essential role in the reg µLation of actin filament dynamics. Acts downstream of several Rho family GTPase signal transduction pathways.
