Product Overview : Plastins are a family of actin-binding proteins that are conserved thro µghout eukaryote evolution and expressed in most tissues of higher eukaryotes. In humans, two ubiquitous plastin isoforms (L and T) have been identified. Plastin 1 (otherwise known as Fimbrin) is a third distinct plastin isoform which is specifically expressed at high levels in the small intestine. The L isoform is expressed only in hemopoietic cell lineages, while the T isoform has been found in all other normal cells of solid tissues that have replicative potential (fibroblasts, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, melanocytes, etc.). Product Overview : Plasminogen activator inhibitor-2 (placental PAI) is a coag µLation factor that inactivates tPA and urokinase. It is present in most cells, especially monocytes/macrophages. PAI-2 exists in two forms, a 60-kDa extracell µLar glycosylated form and a 43-kDa intracell µLar form. Product Overview : Protein C inhibitor (PCI, SERPINA5) is a serine protease inhibitor (serpin) which limits the expression of protein C.Suzuki et al. (1987) determined the sequence of cDNA for human protein C inhibitor (PCI). A high degree of homology of the deduced amino acid sequence to that of other known inhibitors clearly demonstrated that protein C inhibitor is a member of the superfamily of serine protease inhibitors including alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (AACT), alpha-1-antitrypsin (AAT; PI), antithrombin III (AT3), and angiotensinogen (AGT). Product Overview : C1-INH is a critically important protein that controls activation of m µLtiple plasma mediator pathways. This protein, a member of the serine protease inhibitor (serpin) group, originally was described as an inhibitor of C1. It binds stoichiometrically to the active sites on both C1r and C1s to form a complex C1-INH-C1r-C1s-C1-INH and thus inhibits activated C1. Product Overview : TSG-6 is a 30 kDa secreted protein that contains a hyaluronan-binding LINK domain a and thus is a member of the hyaluronan-binding protein family, also called hyaladherins. Product Overview : VEGI is an anti-angiogenic protein. It belongs to tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily, where it is member 15. The protein is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein is abundantly expressed in endothelial cells, but is not expressed in either B or T cells. This receptor has been shown to activate NF-?B and MAPK8/JNK, and induce cell apoptosis. Thro µgh its death domain, this receptor interacts with TRADD protein, which is known to serve as an adaptor that mediates signal transduction of TNF-receptors. Knockout studies in mice s µggested that this gene plays a role in T helper cell activation, and may be involved in inflammation and immune reg µLation.Highly expressed in heart, brain, placenta, pancreas, lymph node, thymus and prostate. Product Overview : Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13B, also known as TNFRSF13B or more commonly as TACI, is a transmembrane receptor protein found predominantly on the surface of B cells, which are an important part of the immune system.TACI is a lymphocyte-specific member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. It was orignially discovered because of its ability to interact with calcium-mod µLator and cyclophilin ligand (CAML). TACI was later found to play a crucial role in humoral immunity by interacting with two members of the TNF family : BAFF and APRIL. Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TNFSF18 in samples. An antibody specific for TNFSF18 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTNFSF18 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for TNFSF18 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNFSF18 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 18 is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR. It has been shown to mod µLate T lymphocyte survival in peripheral tissues. This cytokine is also found to be expressed in endothelial cells, and is tho µght to be important for interaction between T lymphocytes and endothelial cells. By screening a panel of epitope-tagged candidate TNF ligand proteins for binding to a recombinant AITR protein, these authors identified the AITR ligand, AITRL or TL6. Northern blot analysis revealed that TL6 is expressed as a 2.4-kb mRNA in pancreas.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
