Background : HSPA4(also known as Apg-2, HSP70RY) is a 110 kDa cytosolic protein, a member of the heat-shock protein 110(Hsp 110) subfamily of Hsp70 proteins which are highly conserved chaperons implicated in protein folding, protein refolding, protein transport, and protein targeting. An Introduction to Blocking Peptides : A superior strategy for validation of antibody binding is the use of blocking peptides. Reg µLates centrosome integrity during mitosis, and is required for the maintenance of a functional mitotic centrosome that supports the assembly of a bipolar mitotic spindle (PubMed : 27137183). Enhances STUB1-mediated SMAD3 ubiquitination and degradation and facilitates STUB1-mediated inhibition of TGF-beta signaling (PubMed : 24613385). Essential for STUB1-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of FOXP3 in reg µLatory T-cells (Treg) during inflammation (PubMed : 23973223). Negatively reg µLates heat shock-induced HSF1 transcriptional activity during the attenuation and recovery phase period of the heat shock response (PubMed : 9499401).
