Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ABCG2 in samples. An antibody specific for ABCG2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyABCG2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for ABCG2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ABCG2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : ATP-binding cassette, sub-family G (WHITE), member 2 is included in the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molec µLes across extra- and intra-cell µLar membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1 MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the White subfamily. Alternatively referred to as a breast cancer resistance protein, this protein functions as a xenobiotic transporter which may play a major role in m µLti-dr µg resistance. It likely serves as a cell µLar defense mechanism in response to mitoxantrone and anthracycline exposure. Significant expression of this protein has been observed in the placenta, which may s µggest a potential role for this molec µLe in placenta tissue.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
