Background : Serine/threonine kinase which is involved in the reg µLation of apoptosis, autophagy, transcription, translation and actin cytoskeleton reorganization. Involved in the reg µLation of smooth muscle contraction. Reg µLates both type I (caspase-dependent) apoptotic and type II (caspase-independent) autophagic cell deaths signal, depending on the cell µLar setting. Background : Subunit of the oligosaccharyl transferase (OST) complex that catalyzes the initial transfer of a defined glycan (Glc3Man9GlcNAc2 in eukaryotes) from the lipid carrier dolichol-pyrophosphate to an asparagine residue within an Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif in nascent polypeptide chains, the first step in protein N-glycosylation (PubMed : 22467853). Background : Cytochromes P450 are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. In liver microsomes, this enzyme is involved in an NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway.
